Willis Group Holdings of New York, N.Y., has announced the appointment of Peter A. Gilbertson as managing partner and growth leader for Willis HRH in New Jersey. Gilbertson is responsible for the operations of the company’s brokerages in Cranford, Florham Park, Morristown and Mount Laurel, N.J.

*Dean Mortilla has been named the new president of Woodbridge, N.J.-based NIP Group’s Specialty Brokerage Division, a specialty wholesale brokerage with construction, healthcare and specialty property-casualty practices.

*Jan Kozlowski has been promoted to director of research and compliance at Glen Rock, N.J.-based Mutual Service Office. Kozlowski has been with the property-casualty rating service bureau for 20 years.

*Conner Strong of Cherry Hill, N.J., has welcomed Ana Sanchez as an employee benefits consultant. She previously served as assistant vice president at Aon.

*Laura Mattia, a wealth management principal with Baron Financial Group in Fair Lawn, N.J., and Judith Roman, president and CEO of Iselin, N.J.-based AmeriHealth New Jersey, were recently named among” New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business,” awarded by NJBIZ. The list was selected by an independent panel of judges and are recognized for their professional success, community involvement and advocacy for women.

*Lawley Insurance of Buffalo, N.Y., has brought in Peter O’Connell to assist in the surety bond field, providing expertise to its construction and business clients across upstate New York, Westchester County and in New Jersey.

*Selective Insurance Group of Branchville, N.J., has announced several appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Co. of America.  They are: Steven B. Woods to executive vice president of human resources; Brenda M. Hall to senior vice president, director of field underwriting and information strategy; Debra J. Wilber to senior vice president of corporate claims; and Bonnie L. Kikkert to vice president, claims operations manager.

*Montville, N.J.-based Coastal Financial Group has added Tom Daniels to its general agency as an executive health benefits specialist and head of the new wholesale communications team.
