Pursuit of Happyness author to speak at Buffalo I-Day April 23
Christopher Gardner, who went from homeless to owner and CEO of Gardner Rich and ois author of the autobiography, The Pursuit of Happyness, will be the keynote speaker at lunch during Buffalo I-Day, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, at the Buffalo Convention Center.
Billed as the largest one-day insurance convention in the country, Buffalo I-Day is sponsored by the Insurance Club of Buffalo and begins at 8:30 a.m.
The one-hour morning session, beginning at 9:30 a.m., will feature Steve Nachman, deputy superintendant of Fraud and Consumer Services for the New York State Department of Insurance.
From 2:45 to 4:15 p.m., Michael K. Reilly of Reilly & Associates is scheduled to discuss additional insured, a class that allows attendees the opportunity to obtain up to two New York continuing education credits.
A trade show is open during the day, and a cocktail party from 4:45 to 7 p.m. and many opportunities for insurance professionals to network with colleagues.
