Delaware Insurance Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart will speak at the Annual Career Conference of the Delaware chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors May 5 at the Dover Downs Hotel and Conference Center.

Weldin Stewart, who was elected in November to succeed Matt Denn, now lieutenant governor, will speak on regulatory issues at 1 p.m.

Other speakers for the event, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., include Charles Redstone on long-term care; Maury Scarborough on tax strategies; Ed Zabelski talking about how to take a business to the next level; and keynote speaker Tom Lagana, a motivational speaker.

The Benetti Award and the Carl Hill Award will also be given out during the event.
