Former Colt Lenny Moore to speak at IIAM Installation Dinner June 12
National Football League Hall of Fame member Lenny Moore is the featured speaker at the 72nd annual installation dinner of the Independent Insurance Agents of Maryland June 12.
This year’s event will take place at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Md. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a board of directors meeting, followed by a membership meeting and a closed past president’s luncheon.
At 2 p.m. an ethics seminar will be available free to attendees. A cocktail hour will be held at 6 p.m. and the dinner begins at 7 p.m.
Following the installation ceremony, Moore will speak to the crowd and be on hand for autographs afterward. The IIAV will also be raffling off an authentic, autographed jersey to benefit the Leslie Moore College Scholarship Foundation, established after Lenny Moore’s son, Leslie, died with scleroderma at 43.
Moore, who played for the Baltimore Colts from 1956-1967 as a flanker/running back, amassed 12,451 combined yards in his career and was a seven-time All-Pro. He won Rookie of the Year honors in 1956, Player and Comeback Player of the Year honors in 1964 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1975.
