Pennsylvania State Police have charged two men with displaying a firearm and threatening an insurance company employee over a claim dispute in March.

Joseph J. Torello, 68, of Wyalusing, Pa., and Gerald J. Torello, 62, of New Jersey, were charged with making terroristic threats and harassment, according to the Elmira (N.Y.) Star Gazette.

At press time, the men had not been taken into custody.

Both men entered the Tuscarora Wayne Group of Companies in Wyalusing, Pa., northwest of Scranton, Pa., to inquire about an insurance claim, according to police documents cited in the report. During a discussion with an employee, Joseph Torello allegedly removed a firearm he was carrying from its holster and placed the weapon on the countertop.

Gerald Torello then said he would “shoot” someone if his claim was not covered, according to the report.
