New Jersey auto insurer looks to boost brand

Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based Palisades has retained public relations firm MWW Group for a new brand awareness campaign.

Palisades, which sells exclusively through more than 300 independent agents, is looking to elevate the company’s profile among New Jersey drivers and to increase visits to its website, the company said. The deal with MWW includes an integrated mix of consumer marketing, event management and digital media initiatives.

MWW Group, based in East Rutherford, N.J., has clients including JetBlue Airways, McDonalds, Fidelity Investments and Target, according to the company.

In retaining MWW Group, Palisades will take advantage of the agency’s expertise in the automotive and insurance markets, as well as its network of relationships with New Jersey media and influencers, MWW said in a statement.

Karen Murdock, vice president of marketing and distribution for Palisades, said MWW Group helped launch the insurer 16 years ago and “will now play an important role as we continue to grow the Palisades brand and drive new consumers to our agent partners through both traditional and online channels.”

“We selected MWW for its integrated mix of consumer marketing, digital media initiatives and a proven track record of crafting communications programs that help build brands,” Murdock said in a statement.

Last year, Palisades acquired National Atlantic Holdings Corp., including its subsidiary, The Proformance Insurance Co, making it the fifth largest personal automobile carrier and second largest independent agency writer of automobile insurance in New Jersey.
