The IMSA is a national standards-setting organization for the life insurance, annuity and long-term care insurance marketplace for individually sold products. The Bethesda, Md.-based association updates its standards with input from a Standards Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from FINRA, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, rating agencies and others.
Also joining the board are Salene Hitchcock-Gear, president and CEO of Acacia Life Insurance Co. and president and CEO of Ameritas Investment Corp., and John Doscher, vice president & chief compliance officer of Prudential Annuities.
“These three experienced marketplace leaders bring important industry perspectives and will provide valuable input to IMSA’s Board,” said Scott Curtis, president of Raymond James and chairman of the IMSA Board of Directors, in a statement.
In addition to his leadership at Montgomery Financial Group, Scritchfield has served on the Million Dollar Round Table and on the finance committee of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
