A Norfolk, Va., doctor is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 3 to face allegations that he cheated government insurance programs out of more than $850,000.
Dr. Robert Poulin, who works at Virginia Hematology Oncology in Norfolk, is also accused of administering a potentially dangerous anemia drug without justification and falsifying records to stop a federal investigation of his practice, the Virginian-Pilot reported.
Poulin remains free on bond and his lawyer told the paper he plans on “vigorously defending” his client against the charges.
