Navigators offering American Bar Association members personal umbrella coverage
The Navigators Group announced that its principal underwriting agency subsidiary, Navigators Management Co., has partnered with American Bar Insurance Plan Consultants to offer personal umbrella coverage for members of the American Bar Association.
At more than 400,000 members, the organization is the largest voluntary professional membership group in the world. Navigators Management Co. developed a new personal umbrella policy with a specifically tailored ABA endorsement, the company said.
ABI President J. David Andrews said in a statement, that with the number of uninsured/underinsured drivers in the U.S. growing, “we felt ABA members should have this coverage available.”
Bill Gatewood, personal lines executive for Navigators, added that the partnership “expands our presence in the affinity marketplace.
“Our policy administration system and insurance policy combine to provide an innovative solution to what has historically been a difficult or inefficient insurance placement,” he said.
The Navigators ABA-tailored umbrella policy is currently admitted in 33 jurisdictions, including Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Approvals are pending in New York and New Jersey.
