Frederick Mutual Insurance Co. has selected PremiumBill from Vertafore, a provider of market-leading software and services for the insurance industry, to handle the company’s billing needs.

FMIC is partnering with Vertafore on this strategic initiative to migrate from Phoenix billing to PremiumBill for all lines of insurance.

Frederick, Md.-based FMIC is a mutual insurance company writing business in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. FMIC provides property and casualty coverage, including homeowners, dwelling fire, personal umbrella, business-owners, artisan contractors and commercial umbrella, for homeowners, renters and small businesses.

Company officials said the selection of PremiumBill by FMIC will modernize the company’s billing processes and allow for more seamless integration with the company’s existing core administration systems. PremiumBill is a web-based, enterprise billing system built on the latest .NET technology, featuring customer service-friendly screens, easy rescheduling of bills and flexible pay plan options. Both direct and agency bill functions are supported, and PremiumBill also handles Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and split billing of package policies, officials said in a statement.
