Kelly Insurance Agency in Leesburg, Va., has hired a new CEO to replace its founder.
E. Joseph Kelly, who began the eponymous agency in 1967, plans to retire June 30.

However, he will continue to provide consultation to the agency, according to Summit Insurance Services of Moorefield, W.Va., the parent company of Kelly Insurance.
Dario Campolattaro was hired as the chief executive officer for Summit Insurance Services and will lead Kelly’s team of insurance and financial advisors, according to the company.
Campolattaro has 16 years of experience in the insurance industry in both carrier and broker operations. He recently developed the Brambleton Business Network, meant to connect advocates for businesses. Campolattaro is the 2009 membership director for Society for Human Resource Management and the organization’s president elect for 2010.
“Dario brings a broad range of experience including sales, sales leadership, operations and merger integration and I look forward to working with him and continuing our insurance growth in the West Virginia and Virginia markets,” said H. Charles Maddy III, president & CEO of Summit Financial Group in a statement.
Kelly graduated from University of Cork in Cork, Ireland, and has served in the insurance industry for 42 years, licensed in health and life insurance, according to Kelly Insurance.
He is a lifetime member of the Million-Dollar Round Table. Kelly was a past president of the Shenandoah General Agents Association and qualified for Mutual of New York Insurance President’s Council.
