Obama seeks to “discipline” health insurance carriers, and redefines the word “marketplace”
During a recent press conference, President Obama was quoted by IFAwebnews.com as saying that health care reform could help to “discipline” health insurance companies, just as a parent would an unruly child.
Mr. Obama also redefined the term “marketplace” to include government in the competitive mix. My dictionary states that the marketplace is “the commercial world; the realm of business, trade, and economics.” Nowhere in that definition of business dealings does it include competition from the government, but apparently Mr. Obama knows better. He said that health insurance companies’ assertions that they can’t compete with government “defies logic.” Someone had better alert the folks over at Webster’s.

July 2nd, 2009 at 10:12 amMr Obama has a whole new dictionary. Transparancy means to tell the story the opposite of what you do. Everybody means everyone except Mr Obama and his buddies and Congress. I would have one question for any politician. That questions would be Why should a person who can get all the free health care ever want to pay for it under anyone’s plan? Just look around and you can see this situation. I don’t care what system you pass these people will not buy something they can get for free. Most don’t have an income of any amount, so taxing them won’t do it. This is just another ruse to get the govt in control of everything and to tax more for the people who are working.
