Teachers’ insurer offers roadside assistance program

Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ is offering its customers a new roadside assistance benefit, beginning on June 27.

First Class Roadside Assistance will cover all Teacher’s customers with a comprehensive package of benefits and services for no additional cost, according to the company. The service provides towing service, emergency fluid delivery, lock out services and other features for customers while they are on the road.

“With First Class Roadside Assistance, our customers can travel the country knowing that ‘we have their backs’ in the case of an emergency,” said Marc V. Buro, president of Teachers Auto Insurance Co. of New Jersey, in a statement. “This package of benefits and services far surpasses traditional insurance company programs. We are thrilled to be able to bring this new benefit to our customers for free.”

Beginning this fall, the company will automatically remove the optional towing coverage from each policy at renewal. Teachers said customers wishing to have their towing coverage removed sooner can call to have that request processed.
