Report: Average auto premiums show first increase in five months

Annual average auto rates increased in June, after four months of steady declines, an industry report says.
In June, the average was $1,884, which still remains lower than the $1,982 average reported in October 2008, according to Insurance.com’s RateWatch for Care Insurance.
“It’s unlikely rates will change significantly in the second half of the year,” said Sam Belden, vice president at Cleveland, Ohio-based Insurance.com.
