Medical malpractice firm in New Jersey now takes American Express
The New Jersey Physicians United Reciprocal Exchange (NJ PURE) has partnered with American Express to become the state’s first medical malpractice insurance provider to accept insurance payments through the credit card.
The new option is aimed at enhancing NJ PURE’s service to physicians and to providing physicians with the additional benefits associated with being an American Express cardholder, the provider said. Now, physicians can use their American Express Corporate cards to pay for necessary practice expenses such as medical malpractice insurance while saving money on their malpractice insurance by joining NJ PURE.
Princeton, N.J.-based NJ PURE said American Express approved it as a merchant member after thoroughly evaluating that it met all of the company’s requirements and qualifications, including financial viability.
Eric Poe, chief marketing and business development officer for NJ PURE said the medical malpractice insurance provider is “proud” to be an approved corporate member of American Express.
“Both American Express and NJ PURE share the same core values of financial strength and quality of service,” Poe said in a statement. “This new payment option will hopefully give physicians something back at a time of over-burdening costs for malpractice insurance.”
