A New Jersey company plans to create a custom wellness plan for customers that buy limited medical benefit plans.
National Health Services, a Paterson, N.J.-based subsidiary of Cavit Sciences, will build the plan for so-called mini-med plans for a national third-party administrator, which it did not identify.
“Following the agreement to afford access to our WellnessSuite for a national third-party administrator client serving a population of 455,000, NHS was invited to developed a custom wellness plan which can be included for purchasers of their ‘Mini-Med’ health plans,” said Elizabeth Gannon, president of National Health Service, in a statement.
Gannon said limited medical benefit plans will become more popular in a recovering economy and as the job market changes.
“We view these programs as a way to help individuals and families gain access to graduated levels of coverage.”
