Eastern Alliance teams up for workers’ compensation program

Members of the Manufacturer & Business Association can now access a new workers’ compensation program through Lancaster, Pa.-based Eastern Alliance Insurance Group.

The MBA is a professional employers’ organization with membership comprised of commercial, service and nonprofit organizations, as well as industrial members. Founded in 1905 and headquartered in Erie, Pa., the group works to provide information and services to its 4,500 member companies located in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

EAIG will serve as the underwriter for the new program, offering MBA members access to its group workers’ compensation insurance products and services that also utilizes the ParallelPay “pay as you go” program to protect businesses’ cash flow in the current economy, the company said.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with the MBA, the largest association of its kind in the United States,” said Michael Boguski, president and chief operating officer of EAIG parent company Eastern Insurance Holdings. “We believe our emphasis on proactive risk and claim management, industry-leading medical cost management tools, and return-to-work initiatives, will benefit the MBA membership.”
