The Democrats have proposed a public health care plan, Americans have spoken loudly and clearly, and it appears that now the president is willing to pull a public health care plan out of its requirements.

But beware! While the Senate might strike it from its recommendations (there might not be enough Democrat votes), the House has not signaled that such a move could happen. Even  if “blue dog” Democrats don’t vote for a reform measure that contains a public plan, there are still enough Democrat votes to pass it. And with little support from the Republicans, and waning support from its own party, there is no telling how aggressive Democrats could become.

Plus, President Obama and the Democrats could use the removal of a public plan as a way to “ease” the blow of enacting the other distasteful aspects of their reform measures, and could make the notion of a federal insurance agency all the more plausible.

I know of several people that are in need of a public option plan. Two of them are personal friends. One is going to school to become a nurse (quite ironic isn’ it it). The other has a $2000 deductible. How useful is that, I ask you! PLEASE KEEP THE PUBLIC OPTION ALIVE
