The Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia is planning to offer the Associate in Insurance Production (AIP) program this year.

The program is designed to teach the full psychology of the sale, from negotiation skills and time management to relationship building and teamwork, organizers say.

The class size is limited to 15 participants, who can earn up to 20 Virginia P&C/L&H continuing education credits, according to organizers.

Classes are planned for Sept. 10, Oct. 15, Oct. 29, Nov. 12, Dec. 3, Jan. 21, Feb. 11, Feb. 25, March 11, March 25 and April 15. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Richmond, Va.
