In a move that has received little public or industry attention, and which highlights the uncertainty of the future of the health insurance industry — not to mention the volatility of the current economic climate — ratings service firm A.M. Best has withdrawn its public data ratings of more than 125 health insurance carriers, HMOs and Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans across the nation, as reported by IFAwebnews.com.
