Richmond, Va.-based Genworth Financial will provide long-term care insurance to the membership of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.

The group insurance will be underwritten by Genworth Life Insurance Co.

The Texas retirement system is one of the largest retirement systems in the U.S., with more than 1.2 million members. Its membership encompasses all public school systems in the state.

Under this agreement, Genworth Life will become the underwriter of the group long-term care insurance program for public school employees sponsored by TRS.
