David R. Wise was elected as president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors – Central Virginia for 2009-2010.

Wise is a 15-year employee of Farm Bureau Insurance in Buckingham County, Va., and a13-year member of the association, holding several different positions on the board of directors prior to being elected as president.
NAIFA-Central Virginia currently has 57 members who represent most of the insurance and financial service companies that serve clients in Albemarle, Buckingham, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange and City of Charlottesville, Va.
Following his election, Wise said that the organization, “must continue to broaden our knowledge so that we can better serve those who entrust us to protect what matters most.”
Charles H. “Chic” Craddock Jr., will serve as president-elect and treasurer and Albert J. Vargas as secretary.
Also elected as officers for 2009-2010 were:
Gary Albert, an agent with State Farm Insurance; Philip G. Frazer, an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance; James M. “Jay” Garnett, an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance; Harry C. Gill, agency manager with Farm Bureau Insurance; Gregg A. John, professional development and LUTC chairperson; Greg L. Leffler, an agent with State Farm Insurance; John A. “Tony” Martin, an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance; April L. Martin, owner/agent with The Benefit Planning Co.; Harold T. Morris Sr., owner/agent with the Morris Insurance Agency; Joseph B. “Skip” Platt, owner/agent with Platt Financial; and Paul J. Ward, owner/agent with Maloney & Ward Insurance Agency.
