Richmond, Va.-based Markel Insurance Co. is launching a Management Value Protection product for nonprofit policyholders.

The new MVP product includes directors & officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, workplace violation expect coverage and Internet liability.

The package of coverages provides protection against errors and omissions by a director or officer, employment practices allegations, wrongful acts in conjunction with employee pension or benefit plans, workplace violence and website liability, according to a statement from the company.

Although not available in its home state of Virginia, MVP is offered in 40 states, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as Washington, D.C. Other states are awaiting approval from regulators, the company said.

A subsidiary of Markel Corp., Markel Insurance Co. underwrites commercial lines coverages for a variety of niche markets.
