Financial advisors affiliated with Edward Jones will be able to use the John Hancock platform under a new arrangement.

The more than 12,000 financial advisors of Edward Jones will have access to John Hancock Retirement Plan Services, including its JH Signature, defined contribution plans and Guaranteed Income for Life feature, the two companies said.

The arrangement is an “expanding [of] the reach” for John Hancock’s products to more than 8 million Edward Jones’ clients, said Art Creel, executive vice president of sales and marketing for John Hancock Retirement Plan Services, in a statement.

“This distribution partnership with John Hancock is a natural fit and its 401(k) platform, with its Guaranteed Income For Life feature, will be an attractive solution for clients looking for income in retirement,” said Clif Helbert, the partner responsible for retirement plan marketing at Edward Jones.
