California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner got a little gift this week from one of his opponents in his bid to get the Republican nomination for governor, according to the Associated Press.

Billionaire Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay, admitted during a press conference that she has not participated in the most cherished of American responsibilities — voting — in more than 28 years. And Poizner is taking advantage of Whitman’s confession with a humorous and poignant video posted near the end of this link.

Perhaps for Ms. Whitman the desire to take over from “The Governator” is more of a popularity contest than a genuine desire to flex her citizenry muscles.

    Anyone who thinks that a billionaire like Meg Whitman is running just to be popular should probably have their head examined. Seriously. Yeah, let me trade my great life for the most thankless and hellatious job, just because I want to be popular. Come on…
