Virginia regulators do about-face on man’s license revocation
A San Diego, Calif., agent whose Virginia insurance license was revoked had that license reinstated after state regulators realized they made a mistake.
John Walter Lawson’s insurance license was revoked July 30 for failing to report within 30 days an administrative action taken against him in Missouri, according to records on file at the Virginia Bureau of Insurance.
However, on Aug. 11, the Agents Licensing Section of the bureau reported that it had been notified of the action in Missouri March 23. The order revoking the license was vacated Aug. 20.
