Maryland CPCU to sponsor CE workshop on CGL forms issues Nov. 18
The CPCU Society’s Maryland chapter is sponsoring a continuing education program, focused on problems with contractor coverage in light of changes in the Commercial General Liability form, Nov. 18 in Towson, Md.
Approved for four CE credits in Maryland and Delaware, and four CPD points for CPCUs, the workshop will be held at Injured Workers Insurance Fund offices at 8722 Loch Raven Blvd. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon, with registration at 8 a.m. The cost is $79 for CPCU Society members and $99 for nonmembers.
The workshop will address the concerns of insurance professionals over unexpected contractor coverage problems, largely due to evolving changes in the CGL form.
National lecturer, insurance expert and court witness R. Bryan Tilden will speak on insuring defective construction. Attendees may discuss topics such as preventing the issues resulting from third-party construction defect claims as well as the latest rulings on construction defects and how the new CGL handles the exposures.
Registration and detailed content descriptions are available on the CPCU Society’s website.
