Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co. has streamlined agent access to equipment breakdown policies with their Vertafore agency management systems, the company said.

Through Vertafore’s TransactNOW application, agents can quote monoline equipment breakdown policies and access HSB InstantQuote directly through AMS 360, Sagitta or AfW systems.

HSB has eliminated the need for independent agents and brokers to enter a separate HSB user name and password to get equipment breakdown quotes and manage equipment breakdown policies online.

Chuck Bittner, HSB director of E-business, said in a statement, “Direct access saves time, money and effort for agents, and improves coverage and service options for their customers.”
