Standard Insurance Co. is now offering Your Choice Group Voluntary Long Term Disability insurance, a product that combines long-term disability features with certain Short Term Disability insurance features, the company said.

The launch of Your Choice adds new coverage flexibility to best match the personal income-protection needs of employees through three available Maximum Benefit Period options, six available accident/sickness benefit waiting periods and monthly benefit amounts, available in $100 increments, the company said.

For groups with 10 to 2,499 insured employees, an Employee Assistance Program is available to help employees address stress and anxiety issues, financial and legal concerns, alcohol and drug abuse and child or elder care, company officials said in a statement. The product is not available in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C.
