Standard and preferred customers of Foremost Insurance’s DistinctChoice Auto program in Pennsylvania can expect to see their rates lowered 10% to 15%, the company said.
The savings also applies to customers with prior insurance with no lapse in coverage or a lapse less than 31 days, average insurance scores or better, and zero points and pointed business, according to a company statement.
About 20% of current policyholders will see a drop in premium, Foremost said.
“The rate decrease will amount to an annualized savings of over $200,000 for these customers, and substantially more if you include the savings for future customers,” said Regional Product Manager Dexter Johnson in a statement.
Foremost estimates that 45% of new business quotes will see a lower rate.
The Caledonia, Mich.-based Foremost Insurance also announced all qualifying Farmers or Foremost Home policies will see 10% lower rates, meaning a combined 19% to 24% lower rate for all standard and preferred customers that have a Farmers or Foremost Home policy.
