Dominion Dental Services has launched a new provider portal allowing participating dentists to administer their dental transactions online.

The Alexandria, Va.-based provider and administrator of dental and vision benefits said the new portal allows dentists to securely access information at no cost to dentists.

The portal provides access to benefit and eligibility information, treatment history, claims status and payment history, and printable claims form, provider manuals and other documents.

Dentists also may update their office information on the site, thus making it easier for their clients to find up-to-date information.

“State-of-the-art technology and unparalleled convenience are important to our providers and ultimately create an exceptional service experience for our members,” said Dominion Chief Operating Officer Mike Davis in a statement. “Our provider portal is another example of our commitment to creating innovative, hassle-free solutions for our network.”

Dominion administers claims payments for large clients and leading health plans, including Capital BlueCross, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware. The company’s 400,000 customers also include employer groups, municipalities, associations and individuals.
