AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. has two new applications available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, offering female consumers assistance with their finances.
The release of the free, portable applications come as part of AXA Equitable’s education and empowerment program called “Women, Wealth and Wisdom,” according to the New York-based insurer.
The two recently released apps are the Retirement Income Calculator, providing estimates on what monthly income retirement savings can provide, and a College Savings Plan Calculator, to determine the monthly savings amounts needed to help meet education funding goals.
“Women are pulled in many different directions and they often do not have the time to focus on managing their money,” said Barbara Goodstein, executive vice president and chief innovation officer for AXA Equitable, in a statement. “We launched these applications to help women take control of their finances whenever and wherever they want to.”
The insurer said it expects to release more apps in the coming weeks, including a Retirement Shortfall Calculator, to project financial shortfall or surplus at retirement; a Life Insurance Calculator, for consumers to understand how much coverage they would need to protect their family should they die; a Life Expectancy Calculator, based on several factors including age and smoking habits; and an All-in-One Calculator, combining all AXA apps.
Users can download the apps from the iTunes App Store by searching for “AXA Equitable” directly from their iPhone or iTouch devices, or from iTunes on their computer.
