Property-casualty group adds Southeast Atlantic government liaison
The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America has hired a new regional manager for state government relations in the Southeast Atlantic region.
Micaela Isler has joined the national trade association to cover the region comprised of the Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
Isler previously served as vice president of government relations for HSBC-North America in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., developing strategic initiatives for corporate operations on foreclosure avoidance programs, privacy, mortgage loan originator licensing and other issues.
She also served as political affairs director at HSBC, managing state and federal political operations, including grassroots and issue advocacy and legal compliance.
“PCI members writing in Southeast Atlantic states face a number of unprecedented challenges, and I’m looking forward to promoting their interests and advancing PCI’s strategic priorities,” said Isler in a statement.
Ann Weber, PCI vice president, said Isler “will help PCI continue to promote and protect the viability of a competitive private insurance market for the benefit of consumers and insurers.
“Micaela’s strong government relations, political background and record of advocacy success will serve our members well as we advance the industry’s interests in a difficult political, economic and regulatory environment,” she said.
PCI is composed of more than 1,000 member property-casualty companies, writing 37.4% of the nation’s business in that market.
