The Iroquois Group, one of the oldest networks of property-casualty insurance agencies in the country, is offering financial services through a new division and subsidiary.

The new division and subsidiary is designed to provide “additional markets, support and revenue-enhancing strategies” for members, offering financial services products, the Olean, N.Y.-based company said in a statement. The company works with independent agents in 37 states.
“Iroquois has traditionally focused on property and casualty lines,” said Iroquois President Laurie A. Branch in a statement. “But Best Practices data show that financial services can help an agency increase overall retention and can account for 15% to 20% of total agency revenue. That is an opportunity we want to make available to all of our member agencies.”
The new division will be run by Mark Hendrix and Greg Chiapuso. Iroquois is identifying general agency partners to provide backroom support for members, company officials said.
