President Obama and Sen. Harry Reid are pushing for passage of the Senate health care reform legislation before Congress breaks for Christmas, despite the fact that the bill no longer provides for a lower age threshold for Medicare and a public option. (click here for story)
Former Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean, on the other hand, says that without the public option, the bill is a sellout and should not be approved. (click here for story)
Dean says requiring Americans to buy insurance is an insurance company “bailout.” Obama calls the legislation an “achievement.”
Nothing like solidarity in the ranks.
