The Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia will offer three programs for agents to advance their careers.
The IIAV will offer its Associate in Insurance Supervisory Management program beginning Feb. 24. The program covers the transition to supervisor, improving communications, motivation, teamwork, leadership, coaching, understanding others, performance appraisals and fair employment laws and regulations. The program, to be held in the Chesapeake area, ends May 13, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on class days.
The P&C Pre-Licensing Course will be held twice.
From Feb. 8 to Feb. 12, the course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Chesapeake area. From Feb. 22 through Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day in the Chester area.
Both pre-licensing programs feature classroom instruction, covering the basics with frequent quizzes, and knowledgeable instructors. This multiple-day course provides ample instruction time for those new to the industry.
