Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, a division of Trustmark Insurance Co., has introduced a Job Loss Protection policy.

With no waiting period and no additional costs, Job Loss Protection is designed to promote financial security by offering a full refund to policyholders who lose their jobs. According to the company, the policy is designed to relieve employer and voluntary benefit broker concerns that spending has been curbed in today’s economy, keeping consumers from purchasing insurance.

Trustmark, whose regional Mid-Atlantic office is located in Millersville, Md., specializes in voluntary benefits, including life, critical illness, disability and accident coverages.

“While we face a challenging economic road ahead, Job Loss Protection provides the insurance people need today without having to worry if they will have a job tomorrow,” said Dan Johnson, Trustmark’s vice president of sales, in a statement.
