Savoy Associates, a regional health and ancillary insurance general agency, named a former UnitedHealthcare executive as its director of business development.

Peter Gualtieri, formerly a vice president of sales and account management for UnitedHealthcare, will be responsible for developing and executing Savoy Associates’ plans for expansion into the southeastern Pennsylvania marketplace, according to a statement from the company.

“As a lifelong resident of the area, Peter is very familiar with the unique health and ancillary insurance needs of the local businesses, brokers and consultants in the Delaware Valley region,” the company statement said.

Gualtieri joined Savoy Associates a few weeks after Joe Torella, the company’s vice president of business development, left to become president of the employee benefits division of Hub International Northeast.

Savoy Associates operates in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
