New Jersey firm part of new in vitro fertilization insurance program
A California insurance agency has teamed up with a New Jersey-based fertility center to create what it says is the first in vitro fertilization insurance program.
New Life Agency, based in Los Angeles, and The Diamond Institute IVF Center, based in Millburn, N.J., have joined forces to provide the Assisted Reproduction Care Insurance Program, which will cover IVF treatments, procedures and fertility medications, according to a statement from New Life Agency, a surplus lines company operating throughout the U.S.
The Diamond Institute, opened in 1968, is an independent, private center devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, with offices in Millburn, N.J., Goshen, N.Y., and Bermuda.
The ARC Insurance Program combines insurance coverage with a fertility medication discount plan that can save The Diamond Institute IVF center’s patients more than 50% on the cost of standard services, the agency said. The program also offers hundreds of dollars in discounts on fertility medications through Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy.
The program, which took a year to develop, has 10 doctor-recommend plan options for individual fertility needs, allowing the patient to move through the treatment process aware of the total cost of each phase, the company said. If pregnancy is not achieved, the program offers refunds and credits during the 18-month enrollment term.
Services will be provided exclusively through The Diamond Institute IVF Center, but will be expanded to additional approved IVF centers and providers later this year, the company said.
