Philadelphia insurance agency bought by New Jersey firm

Goebel Insurance Agency, a Philadelphia-based company, is being acquired by a New Jersey-based financial services firm.

The Goebel agency, started in 1990, is becoming a member of EAGiL Financial Group, based in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., as a partnered affiliate operating under the EAGiL Vision Platform, said Guy E. Runyon, President and CEO of EAGiL Financial Group, in a statement.

The Goebel Agency offers property-casualty, life and business insurance products.

“We are excited to be part of EAGiL and its national companies,” said Christopher Goebel, the agency’s founder, in a statement. “This transition enables our company to continue on a tremendous growth trend and positions us to have enormous leverage in our day to day operations.”

Goebel added that EAGiL’s expertise in corporate and personal financial planning coupled with its estate planning capabilities, will expand its offering to existing clients.

EAGiL Financial Group is a national corporate and personal financial planning firm, specializing in estate planning for high net-worth individuals and conducts business in all 50 states. One EAGiL company, EAGiL Life Settlements, facilitates purchases of life insurance policies in the secondary market and currently transacts business in 40 states.
