United Concordia launches individual dental plans in Pa., other states
People living in Pennsylvania are among the first who can buy individual dental insurance from United Concordia Dental.
Pennsylvania residents, as well as people in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas, now can access the iDental product line, either from broker or directly from the insurer. West Virginia is expected to obtain access early this year, while other states will be added throughout the year, according to the Harrisburg, Pa.-based dental insurer.
United Concordia’s iDental offers five different plans geared toward meeting the varying dental needs of college students, young families, senior citizens or anyone interested in portable and affordable dental insurance, according to the company.
Most of the iDental plans are designed to cover all of the cost of routine care such as cleanings, exams and X-rays; pay toward the cost of other covered procedures, including fillings and crowns; and use its discounted fees with network dentists, the company said.
