New retirement platform to kick off in 2010 for MassMutual
MassMutual’s retirement division is set to open the second quarter of 2010 with its new engagement platform.
The Retirement Services Division of the Springfield, Mass.-based company plans to introduce RetireSmart, a platform which includes a full suite of enrollment, transition and investment change materials, into all of its new and existing retirement plans, according to a statement from the company.
The insurer said plan sponsors will be able to choose from a menu of options for their own participant population. The platform includes an enhanced process delivering full investment profiles, along with enrollment and the ability to include optional forms, plan highlights and required notices. The platform also includes additional support for plan sponsors to help them meet some of their ERISA 404(c) responsibilities, according to MassMutual.
“Sponsors will have a variety of concepts supported by relevant imagery from which to choose for their enrollment, transition and investment change materials. As such, plan participants will receive the necessary information in a visually appealing and digestible format that makes it easy for them to take action,” said E. Heather Smiley, vice president and chief marketing officer of MassMutual Retirement Services Division, in a statement.
