Del. Robert G. Marshall, a Republican legislator from Virginia, minced no words in comparing Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and President Obama to Bonnie and Clyde, and Al Capone, respectively.

Well, he didn’t compare them directly to the forenamed notorious gangsters, but he did say that they are behaving like mobsters and their actions are bordering on criminal activity. Tough words!

But if the press of late is any indication, Pelosi and Reid, at least, are still wheeling and dealing behind the scenes to force passage of a health bill. As reported in the Baltimore Sun, Democrats are brazenly stating that they are simply waiting until the furor dies down, then they are prepared to use the “nuclear” budget reconciliati0n process to force passage of the Senate-approved health reform legislation.

Reminds me of scenes from gangster movies where the “masterminds” plotted in a smokey back room to rob the bank while the guard was asleep, and make a quick getaway in the middle of the night.

Makes you wish for the days when the president promised all these negotiations would be transparent and televised on C-Span, doesn’t it?
