Montgomery County man faces Medicaid fraud charges

A Burtonsville, Md., man faces a single count of Medicaid fraud for improperly billing the program for wheelchairs that he never provided.

Neil Wayne Goldschmitt, 60, the owner of Gold Medical Corp., was charged in the Baltimore City Circuit Court and will appear again in court March 15, according to the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.

The felony charge is punishable by five years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
