Annual Capital I Day to discuss weathering economic crisis March 19
Several property-casualty industry experts will be discussing the current economic climate and how to weather the crisis during a panel discussion at the 2010 Capital I Day March 19.
The day-long event will feature a panel discussion, starting at 8:30 a.m. Louise “BeBe” Canter, senior vice president at USI, will moderate the economy panel, slated to include Douglas W. Pera of Willis; Joseph S. Clabby, president of ACE USA regional operations; Mary Stewart, director of research and development for Public Entity Risk Institute and Lorna M. Parson, president and chief underwriting officer of Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. The session has been filed for qualification for continuing education credits.
The lunch speaker will be Eric O’Neill, a lawyer who specializes in counterintelligence and counterterrorism operations, investigations into economic espionage, internal investigations and security risk assessment consulting.
In the afternoon, four separate continuing education credit sessions. Those sessions will cover flood insurance, employment practices liability insurance, professional liability and ethics. The sessions will end by 4:30 p.m.
The event, costing $150, which includes breakfast and lunch, will be held at the Hilton Hotel, formerly the DoubleTree, at 1750 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Md.
