Designed as a one-stop online source to support agents’ full training and development needs, Ohio Casualty has introduced its new Agent Learning Center for appointed agencies.
Ohio Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets company, offers property-casualty products through independent agents in Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
The Ohio-based company said the new online centers are aimed at alleviating the time and financial constraints its agencies face in developing new producers and staff.
Through the new Agent Learning Centers, agents can register for classroom workshops and participate in virtual or self-paced online courses, accessing a catalog of professional development courses, many of which qualify for continuing education credits. Courses include general insurance topics, sales, office productivity and consultative selling skills, according to Ohio Casualty.
An Agency Manager Toolkit is also available to assist agency owners or principals in hiring and developing successful new producers.
“An important element in helping our partners grow profitably is providing easily accessible and affordable learning solutions that meet a wide-variety of agency needs,” said Michael Winner, president and chief executive officer of Ohio Casualty, in a statement. “Our new Agent Learning Center supports agency principals in the selection and on-boarding of new talent, gives new producers the resources to succeed from the start, and offers CSRs development and productivity resources.”
Also featured on the Agent Learning Center is Ohio Casualty’s Commercial Lines New Producer Program, a 30-week development curriculum, providing a blended learning approach that combines online instruction, webinars and in-agency mentoring with classroom training, the company said.
The program is supported by AICPCU materials and graduates receive the Insurance Institute of America’s Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation.
