Union Central Life Insurance Co. has launched a new disability insurance product, its first since it released DInamic 2000 in July 1999.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company said the new DInamic Foundation builds on the DInamic 2000 foundation, but adds a number of new features.

They include a choice of noncancelable or guaranteed renwable policies for white-collar professionals, preferred occupational classes for noninvasive physicians, an employer-sponsored multi-life plan discount beginning with two lives, the ability to upgrade business owners by up to two occupational classes, the company said. It also adds an own occupation/not working definition of total disability available for all occupational classes, and a COBRA premium benefit built into all non-cancelable and guaranteed renewal policies, according to the company.

Union Central Life said DInamic Foundation targets three markets: medical, business owners and corporate/employee benefits.
