Markel Insurance was selected by Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to operate as the exclusive carrier for a countrywide property-casualty insurance program to help the organization control costs and more readily obtain optimal coverage.

The Richmond, Va.-based insurance company said Frank Crystal & Co., a privately held insurance brokerage, was engaged by BGCA as a risk advisor to help administer and expand the program.

The program was designed to help establish recommended guidelines for adequate insurance protection and risk management initiatives for Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. All affiliated Boys & Girls Clubs in the United States, except those located in Hawaii, are eligible.
