A new credential exam for the national flood insurance, part of a collaboration with the CPCU Society and federal officials, will be available, starting July 15.
The credential exam for ANFI 205—National Flood Insurance: Fundamentals will be offered at on-site and Prometric testing centers, beginning that day.
The exam is based on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Flood Insurance Manual from October 2009, and its Mandatory Purchase of Flood Insurance Guidelines booklet.
Topics covered on the exam include an introduction to the National Flood Insurance Program; available flood maps and zone determinations products; policy provisions; general rules and eligibility rating; claims handling process and requirements of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004
The Malvern, Pa.-based American Institute For CPCU and FEMA have created the new Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI) designation for company underwriters, flood training vendors, and insurance and risk management professionals who need to be familiar with flood insurance.
