The Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia has inked a partnership enabling its members to access cloud computing technology.
The deal with PROXIOS enables IIAV members to access a virtual desktop with centralized management and inherent disaster protection, according to a statement from the two entities.
The cloud computing solution includes 24/7 user phone support lines with Microsoft Office Professional, Exchange email, CMR, desktop faxing and voicemail storage, as well as desktop computer, phone, fax and smartphone integration, officials said.
The IIAV isn’t just making the cloud computing solution available to its membership through an affinity program, but is among a number of local insurance organizations, including Atlantic Specialty Lines and Professional Governmental Underwriters that are using the “cloud technology,” according to PROXIOS officials.

April 4th, 2011 at 7:52 amOne does not have to be in the insurance business to enjoy the benefits of Proxios Cloud Computing. Our company decided to get out of the IT business to concentrate on our core business. This has allowed us to concentrate on our power and cooling solutions without having to fight our own technology issue anymore.
